FilmDayton Film Festival 2011

FilmDayton will present its third annual film festival from May 20-22, 2011, and will be adding a new component – the FilmDayton Screenwriting Conference.

This year’s festival, themed “FROM Dayton and FOR Dayton” is slated to feature a selection of films by filmmakers that live and work in the region, along with the “best of the fests” – films featured at such prominent film festivals as Sundance and the Toronto International Film Festival – which only FilmDayton is bringing to the region. Festival goers can attend screenings, question and answer sessions with filmmakers and parties at festival events throughout Dayton, including NEON Movies, ThinkTV, the Victoria Theatre, Wiley's Comedy Club and Club Vex.
All-access passes to film screenings and parties is $75, and individual film tickets are $7, although FilmDayton members can purchase passes and tickets at a reduced rate.

The addition of the FilmDayton Screenwriting Conference is in response to the region’s large concentration of writers. The two-day conference, held May 21-22 at ThinkTV in Dayton, will include a series of workshops led by writers, producers and script consultants from Dayton, Chicago and Los Angeles.
